Golder Associates have developed an Internet aware suite of blasting related software tools. The suite of programs, called Blast Central, include blast design, blast analysis and limited blast modeling.

Blast Central includes PC-based blast design software to semi-automate the blast design and analysis process as well as make predictions of blast results:

1. Database
   The core database for the system allows full three-dimensional blast patterns to be stored.
   
2. BC EDit
   The blast design & editing module allows engineers to layout blast patterns, explosive charging, initiation delay allocation. It also provides printed plans for field crews.
3. BC Analyze
   The blast analyser includes explosive energy concentration, detonation simulation, charge weight per delay analyses, dynamic burden relief analysis, and movement prediction.
4. Internet Distribution, Licensing and Support
   Blast Central is provided using efficient Internet based license management. The help system and updates are also Internet based.
5. Blast Prediction Tools (Models)
   Full waveform ground vibration prediction is accomplished using VisiVib or any other software that can accept the detailed four dimensional blast detonation information.

The over-riding concern in developing Blast Central was to keep it simple and thereby both affordable and ultimately usable. Blast Central focuses on the actual blast design process, and encompasses numerous simple checks as well as the detailed analysis.
